Job summary We are looking for an individual in the portfolio analytics role that would support product ideation and selection process. The role involves detailed quantitative and qualitative evaluation of pipeline attributes such as disease area, epidemiology, competitive intelligence, asset valuation. The role also involves custom database development and utilization of visualization tools for senior leadership interaction to drive decision making. Roles & Responsibilities 1. Product and Market Analytics Conduct qualitative and quantitative market analysis for biologics across geographies to assess therapy, pricing, patient populations, unmet needs, and competitive dynamics. Leverage internal and external data sources (e.g., IQVIA, GlobalData, ASP, DRG, IPD) to generate insights on price erosion, biosimilar penetration, and competition impact. Support the analytics through design and maintenance of customized databases to enable senior leadership level visualization. 2. Financial Modeling & Valuation Develop and maintain financial models incorporating key assumptions such as market share, price erosion, competition, and biosimilar uptake. Build long‑term forecasts using both bottom‑up (patient‑based) and top‑down approaches, accounting for regulatory, market, and geopolitical factors. Evaluate product viability through NPV, IRR, and scenario analysis to support make‑vs‑buy and investment decisions. Work with frontend markets to develop consolidated business case for the products. 3. Integrated Product Strategy Define the objectives of a program to towards definition of the Product Requirement Document, a product development road map through considerations technical aspects of product development and life cycle management such as - CMC, Clinical etc. 4. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with Business Development, Finance, Strategy, Product Management, R&D, IP, and Market teams to integrate inputs and enable informed decision‑making. Educational qualification: Masters in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Biotech, or similar fields, with an MBA with specialization in any of Finance, Operations, Strategy, Analytics Minimum work experience : 4 to 7 years of experience in portfolio management, product management or business development Skills & attributes: Technical Skills - Hands-on work experience in designing and developing financial models, including expertise in financial modelling related to licensing, cost analysis, and evaluation of financial accounts. - Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. - General understanding of Portfolio Management principles. - Solid understanding of drug product development processes, including the various stages involved in bringing a pharmaceutical product to market. - Knowledge of healthcare databases, routine financial reporting, and a strong ability to handle analytical data within the healthcare context. - Expertise in financial analysis, including the use of visualization tools for data interpretation. - Understanding of the global regulatory framework in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. - Knowledge and experience in conducting program and stage gate reviews, with a focus on evaluating business cases. - Fundamental knowledge of Quality principles, Formulation Development, Manufacturing processes, and Supply Chain management within the pharmaceutical industry.
