The Azure Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud environments while supporting application modernization, automation, and migration initiatives.The engineer will work across infrastructure, networking, identity, and platform services to optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency in the organization's Azure environment.
Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Operations
Azure Infrastructure Engineer at Betsol
Design, deploy, and manage Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage, and Platform Services
Administer and optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and scalability
Monitor system health, performance, and capacity using Azure-native and third-party tools
Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex infrastructure issues
Security & Identity
Implement and maintain secure cloud configurations using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and Conditional Access
Support identity integration, access controls, and secure authentication (MFA, SSO)
Ensure compliance with internal security policies and regulatory requirements
Ensure secure and reliable connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments
Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues across hybrid environments
Migration & Modernization
Support migration of on-prem workloads to Azure (lift-and-shift and transformation initiatives)
Participate in cloud adoption planning, architecture reviews, and solution design
Optimize workloads for cloud-native capabilities and cost efficiency
Monitoring & Optimization
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics)
Analyze usage and costs; recommend and implement optimization strategies
Continuously improve system performance and operational efficiency
Documentation & Governance
Maintain accurate documentation of cloud environments, configurations, and processes
Support governance frameworks including tagging, policies, and cost management practices
Participate in audits and compliance activities
Looking For
5+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering roles
3+ years working with Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud platforms
Mandatory skills:
Extensive experience with the Microsoft system, application, and cloud technology suites, including Active Directory, Windows OS, Azure, Azure Active Directory, O365/Exchange Online and related technology.
Proven expertise in the management and support of Windows Server and virtualization, and hybrid cloud platforms, including VMware and Cisco UCS.
Understanding of security and risk prevention practices executed throughout a large scale, multi-site network.
Good to have skills:
Recognized IT professional certifications around Microsoft technologies
Bachelors Degree in any discipline - BTech/BE/BCA preferred
Working hours:
8am-5pm EST with once every 5 weeks on-call rotaiton
