Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
5+ years of HR experience, including employee relations and investigations
Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices (healthcare preferred)
PHR/SPHR or SHRM certification a plus
Proven ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Workday experience a plus
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Period ic travel within the division territory

Sonic Healthcare USA has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) in Austin, TX. We are seeking a strategic, hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about driving people initiatives, strengthening organizational culture, and enhancing the employee experience.
Position Summary:
The HRBP provides end-to-end HR support across employee relations, investigations, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance. This role serves as a trusted advisor, managing complex employee matters with sound judgment and discretion.
Essential Job Duties:
Partner with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals and drive employee engagement
Lead and manage employee relations matters, including conducting prompt, thorough, and impartial workplace investigations, documenting findings, and recommending appropriate actions
Provide expert guidance on conflict resolution, corrective actions, performance improvement, and policy interpretation
Administer and support HR programs, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance
Collaborate with leaders to create, update, and maintain job descriptions and organizational structures
Facilitate performance management processes, including coaching managers on effective feedback and development planning
Support onboarding initiatives to ensure a positive employee experience
Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and benefits with a high level of customer service
Monitor HR trends and metrics; conduct audits ; prepare reports to support data-driven decision-making
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance HR service delivery
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; proactively advise leadership on risk mitigation
Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
