Role purpose The key purpose of this role is to support the National Security Operations Manager and play a key role in Vicinity's Centre of Expertise for Security and Emergency management across the national portfolio. This role involves supporting the delivery of initiatives outlined in the Security tactical plan, the proactive monitoring of security operations and event investigations, and providing guidance, advice and support to centre management teams. The role will use data and analysis to identify key trends and develop solutions to improve national practices. The role is responsible for developing and implementing (through the SRM community) security risk assessments and assurance processes across the portfolio. This role involves regularly engaging with centre management teams to develop a more integrated and proactive approach to security and emergency management, as well as maintaining relationships with key security providers. Key Accountabilities Strategy & Policy Assist with the implementation of the security strategy. Work with the SRM community to development site vulnerability and risk risk assessments as it relates to Vicinity's assets. Support the design and implementation of appropriate security measures to mitigate identified risks. Develop and maintain Vicinity's Security Operating Manual (SOM') Incident Reporting & Analysis Support the management of the security incident reporting system, ensuring effective recording of security incidents and utilisation of the data. Analyse crime trends, incident patterns and identify opportunity and risk response areas. Provide comprehensive reports to the organisation on security-related matters relevant to the audience. Contractor Management Monthly management of security guarding contractor management ensuring delivery of service in line with standards Proactive partnering with security providers to develop a culture of continuous improvement and understanding of technology opportunities for ongoing best practice. Attend quarterly reviews with National Security Operations Manager with providers and provide input where required. Monitor contracted security providers for compliance with state legislation relating to licensing. Have oversight of contractor roster data to ensure accuracy and that payment aligns with service provided. Asset Operations Support for Asset teams on security, incident management and emergency management matters. Co-ordinate SRM community training programs in partnership with Vicinity's Learning & Development team. Support with retailer engagement programs around security and safety. Partners with Operational Technology management team to co-ordinate and support investment strategies for security and emergency technology across the portfolio, providing recommendation to Centre Manager teams, as required. External Stakeholder Relationships Serve as a point of contact for law enforcement and other relevant community stakeholders regarding significant security matters. Stay updated on latest counter-terrorism practices. Emergency Management Act as a support person to the Emergency Management Liaison person. Assist with oversight at asset level of Emergency Management training provider Respond to or support Centre Management teams with security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency services as needed. Act as a 2nd delegate in Emergency Management Liaison (EL) for RIMT. Support the review of all EM incidents from a security risk mitigation POV. Proven track record in incident investigation, risk assessment, and compliance with security regulations. Demonstrated experience in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including security providers Current Security Licence and Victorian Drivers Licence.
