ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Perform the following with limited supervision:
Review and interpret shop floor paperwork prior to assembly
Read and follow drawings, SOPs, blueprints, and/or weld specifications
Set up and operate equipment effectively and safely
Maintain consistent quality technique in welding operator level jots and fit ups on multiple material types and using multiple welding applications
Correct for excessive weld spatter and repair cosmetic defects
Correct porosity within welds
Perform operator-level cleaning and maintenance for their assigned area
Conform to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment
Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position
Support daily and monthly production goals and targets
Utilize SOPs and Standard Work Instructions to complete work
Contribute to safety and process improvement initiatives
Learn SAP/ MII / MES Processes
Demonstrate reliability and ownership of assigned processes
Identify work to be performed via SAP or MII work center priority
Perform physical material movements
Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S and lean initiatives
Cross-train within department
Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible in areas they are cross-trained in
Help train new production team members as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
