Professional training as Biological/Chemical or Medical Lab Assistant, hold a BTA/CTA/MTA or similar education (i.e. BSc or MSc in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or similar)
Documented experience of working in a wet-lab (biochemistry and/or molecular biology lab or similar) (essential)
Experience of working in an academic setting; teaching or lab demonstrator experience (desirable)
Able to work independently
Fluent in English - German language is a plus
Team-oriented, collaborative, results oriented personality with excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

The EUC, School of Medicine -Frankfurt Branch is seeking to recruit a Biological, Chemical or Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant (BTA, CTA or MTA) [m/f/d] in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The ideal candidate will serve a critical role in allowing student laboratory training to operate accordingly. This will include responsibility for the daily monitoring of the laboratory facilities and smooth running of laboratory teaching sessions. He/she will be responsible for ensuring adequate training of all technical personnel and maintenance of safety regulations within all practical training facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
To work independently and in collaboration with other laboratory members on scientific questions using molecular biological, biochemical, histochemical and cell biological techniques.
To plan, perform and document wet -lab (i.e.biochemistry, molecular biology) experiments on a precise and reliable manner
To analyse experimental biological, biochemical data
To contribute to establishing the laboratory
To set-up, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment
To manage and oversee operational excellence and safety in the laboratory
To contribute to teaching sessions lab preparation and delivery
To purchase, manage and organise lab consumables, equipment and resources
To structure the planning of laboratory tasks and instruct students in laboratory techniques.
