Special or Physical Qualifications :
A ble to answer phone calls after hours from house officers regarding Neurology cases. May be required to come in after hours, on weekends or holidays to provide consultation for cases with emergent neurological issues. Availability to work 8-10 hour shifts.

We are seeking our next Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Neurology and Neurosurgery. Come work in a vibrant academic neurology program in one of the country's most thriving Veterinary Schools! Louisiana State University has an open clinical or tenure-track faculty position for a neurologist to join our team. Our team of specialists include faculty in small animal neurology, internal medicine, medical and radiation oncology, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, integrative medicine and rehabilitation, emergency and critical care, anesthesiology, diagnostic imaging, cardiology, dermatology, zoological medicine, ophthalmology, theriogenology, and large animal medicine and surgery. Our facility houses a 1.5T MRI, a 60 slice Fuji CT scanner, electrodiagnostics, and a full radiology suite with fluoroscopy, diagnostic x-ray, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, among other specialty equipment.

50 % - Scholarly endeavor and instruction: Participate in the school's research program as a team leader or member. Participate in house officer training and in the continuing education programs of the School of Veterinary Medicine. Participate in the didactic and tutorial instructional programs of the School of Veterinary Medicine. Collaborate with other faculty members in the development of teaching programs and instructional materials.
