Job Posting: Analyst, Merchandise Planning, Helly Hansen DTC Team North America Helly Hansen is looking for an analytical professional with a passion for the outdoors to join our merchandise planning team. This person will work to develop an inventory management strategy, allocate initial seasonal product and weekly replenishment, and report out on inventory and sales metrics to cross-functional partners. This position reports to the Manager, NA DTC Merchandise Planning and will be based in Denver, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Provide data-driven decisions for inventory management across DTC channels and product lines for the region.
  • Co-create and define product and inventory strategy for retail channels to improve marketplace performance, incorporating distribution of both stores and e-commerce.
  • Deliver seasonal inventory analysis and communicate insights to optimize future seasons.
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to determine an allocation approach specific to the style/color/size needs at a store level.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to understand shipment delivery times and any changes to intended product flow.
  • Recommend and execute product transfers between channels and among stores throughout the season.
  • Ensure day-to-day actions ladder up to merchandise planning team & organizational goals.
  • Cross functional communication to achieve alignment between store teams, marketing, visual merchandising and operations.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, process-orientation, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • An infectious passion for the outdoors.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail, business, supply chain or related field.
  • 1-2 years' experience in retail allocation and inventory management.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and openness to ambiguity.
  • Confidence in Excel and comfortability with analyzing large data sets.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and multi-time zone environment.

  • Travel Requirements: ability to travel 5-10%, including potential international travel.
