Garage Mechanic (automobile)

Responsibilities

• Inspect motor vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical faults accurately.
• Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform routine servicing and maintenance to keep vehicles in optimal condition.
• Repair or replace vehicle parts including brakes, engines, gearboxes, suspension, and electrical components.
• Conduct test drives to verify vehicle condition and repair effectiveness.
• Complete all repair work safely and to quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop environment.
• Keep accurate records of all repair and maintenance activities.
• Advise customers or supervisors on required repairs and replacement parts clearly.
• Collaborate with team members and perform other workshop duties as assigned by the supervisor.
