Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain high-quality automation to assist with growing Starlink's customer base, launching new markets, and improving customer experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, mathematics, or STEM discipline
  • 4+ years of experience in engineering, software, data analytics, venture capital, management consulting, or operations/product management at a technology company
  • 4+ years of experience with Python
  • PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master Degree in Business or STEM field
  • Expertise in SQL and Python
  • Understanding of database structures, query optimizations, ETL development
  • Experience with automation (demonstrated skills with VBA, Python, C#, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in a start-up, consulting, tech, or other high-growth, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong project management and self-directed prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences at all organizational levels
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across disciplines and with multiple levels of management
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
  • Willingness to travel to corporate customer sites, other SpaceX locations, and industry events as needed
  • COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
  • Pay Range:
  • Sr. Operations Engineer: $135,000.00 - $190,000.00
  • Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

As an Sr. Operations Engineer, Automation on the Customer Success team, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving both business-critical and experimental automation to unlock customer experience and support bottlenecks within the Starlink network. You will work closely with technical and engineering teams to make sure requirements are satisfied and the automation is robust. You will create reports, alerts, and monitoring systems to ensure that your automation is working correctly and communicate results to leadership.
