Direct and coordinate production operations across assigned clean-room manufacturing areas including, but not limited to, wafer fabrication, singulation, assembly, plating, and related backend processes.
Establish and communicate daily and weekly production targets based on master schedules and material availability; adjust priorities in real time to maintain output commitments.
Monitor work-in-process (WIP) flow and identify bottlenecks; implement corrective actions to sustain throughput and on-time delivery to downstream operations.
Review production performance data, efficiency metrics, and yield indicators; report results to Production Management and initiate improvement actions where performance gaps exist.
Ensure proper setup, operation, and handoff of production equipment across shifts; coordinate with equipment engineering / maintenance / facilities on preventive maintenance scheduling to minimize downtime.
Scheduling & Production Planning Support | 20%
Collaborate with Planning teams to align shop-floor activities with master schedules, capacity constraints, and material availability.
Participate in production planning meetings; provide floor-level input on labor capacity, equipment readiness, and process constraints to support accurate scheduling.
Track and report production progress against schedule; communicate risks and recovery plans to Production Management in a timely manner .
Support the review and execution of shop traveler packets, work orders, and parts lists to ensure proper sequencing and prioritization of production activity.
Quality Systems & Process Compliance | 20%
Enforce adherence to all applicable operating procedures (OPs), control plans, and process specifications; escalate deviations through the nonconformance reporting (NCR/NCMR) process.
Conduct and support spot audits on production processes to verify procedural compliance and document findings in accordance with WIF-GEN-23-SCI and related audit frameworks.
Participate in root cause analysis activities (5 Whys, 8D) tied to CARs and nonconformances; verify effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions on the production floor.
Support internal and external quality audits (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and customer) by ensuring records are current, personnel are prepared, and process execution is audit-ready .
People Leadership & Development | 15%
Directly supervise Production Supervisors across assigned areas and shifts; provide clear direction , set performance expectations, and conduct timely feedback conversations.
Partner with the Production Training Supervisor to ensure position-based training requirements are completed, documented, and current for all direct reports.
Identify and develop high-potential employees for advancement; provide coaching, mentoring, and stretch assignments to build bench strength and technical capability.
Conduct performance reviews, document performance issues, and administer corrective actions in partnership with HR; maintain documentation in accordance with company policy.

Process Improvement & Engineering Collaboration | 10%
Partner with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, and Quality teams to support process qualification activities, experiments, and implementation of engineering changes on the production floor.

Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs) targeting measurable gains in yield, throughput, cost, quality, or safety.
Review and provide input on procedure revisions and new OPs prior to release; ensure effective communication and implementation of document updates to the production team.
