We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team, specialising in the design and development of high-precision automation equipment for the electronics industry (e.g. semiconductor, PCB) and customised factory automation systems.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about engineering innovation, problem-solving, and delivering cutting-edge automation solutions.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Project Managers and clients to understand design requirements and specifications
Analyse project needs and contribute to concept development and design solutions
Design and develop high-precision automation equipment and systems
Prepare and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) using SAP
Coordinate with fabrication vendors and suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery
Support assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of equipment with technicians
Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and technical challenges
Work closely with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, QA) to ensure compliance with industry standards
Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical design for automation equipment
Strong knowledge of factory automation systems (semiconductor/PCB industry preferred)
Hands-on experience in mechanical design and component selection (electrical, pneumatic, sensors)
Proficient in SolidWorks (3D) and EPDM
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of machine safety and industry standards (e.g. ISO, IEC)
Familiarity with reliability engineering principles
Experience working with high-precision or high-tech automation systems
