Reviews prescriptions prior to and during fill to ensure they are accurate, making changes and or suggesting how to resolve the issue to the pharmacist

All research medications were dispensed to the patients appropriately

Additional Information
Responsible for providing technical support under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The intern works primarily in the retail outpatient pharmacy, but may also support any other satellite location. Intern duties include preparing oral take home medications, manufacturing and compounding pharmaceutical products, inventory management, utilizing the various equipment and technology available in the pharmacy, performing drop-off and pick-up window duties, and performing various quality control tasks as assigned. In addition, the intern performs supervision of other technicians, leading their orientation and training and acting as a resource.
