Associate degree or bachelor's in information technology, business, or related field or four (4) years of experience in supply chain, IT assets, inventory and related support.
Healthcare or clinical IT experience.
Experience with IT lifecycle management tools and procedures.
Knowledge of ITIL asset and configuration management principles.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Track and manage IT assets from procurement through retirement using asset management systems.
Assist with physical deployments of IT equipment, including unpacking, staging, labeling, and transport.
Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for project-based and routine procurement.
Organize and coordinate deployment or staging tasks in collaboration with IT support staff.
Support IT equipment refreshes, upgrades, and secure end-of-life disposal procedures.
Perform basic troubleshooting during device setup, testing, or handoff (e.g., login issues, peripheral connections).
Maintain secure, orderly storage areas and monitor consumable levels (e.g., cables, keyboards, adapters).
Work with vendors and procurement to verify shipments, resolve discrepancies, and maintain readiness.
Provide documentation and reports for inventory, lifecycle status, and audit purposes.
Assist with organizing requisition, invoices, purchase orders, and other details internally and with vendors.

Physical Demands and Environmental Work Conditions:
Regularly on-site during scheduled shifts and quickly responsive, remote support when allowed or approved, occasional travel.
Primarily office-based, frequent computer use; could involve long-term walking, standing, bending, or assisting with physical aspects of projects in clinical or administrative areas. Rounding during go-lives is common.
Possible lifting and carrying of IT hardware and materials (up to fifty (50) pounds).
Participation in scheduled shift coverage and on-call support for emergencies, maintenance, and upgrades.
Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and service-oriented communication in all interactions.

The IT Asset Specialist plays a key role in the full lifecycle management of IT hardware and software assets. This position oversees inventory tracking, procurement coordination, equipment staging, and physical deployment support. It assists with BOM creation, task organization, and routine lifecycle functions including upgrades and decommissioning. The role also supports Level 1 troubleshooting tasks in collaboration with the IT support team. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role integral to ensuring the readiness, accountability, and effectiveness of IT resources across clinical and administrative areas. General inventory management and documentation including reporting is required.

Required Qualifications:
Associates degree in IT or related field, or equivalent level of experience.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IT assets, inventory, logistics, or related support operations.
Familiarity with common endpoint hardware (desktops, laptops, mobile devices, monitors, printers).
Comfortable with basic IT troubleshooting tasks (e.g., device setup, cable management, login issues).
Strong organizational skills and experience with asset or inventory tracking systems.
