Our client is a global energy manufacturing MNC. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West area. Job Responsibilities: Perform product costing activities including material, labour, overheads, and variance analysis to support manufacturing operations. Analyse cost variances such as price, usage, and production efficiency, and work closely with production teams on improvement actions. Prepare gross margin and profitability analysis, including insights on volume, pricing, mix, and cost performance. Support inventory costing activities including stock valuation, cycle count coordination, and reconciliation of variances. Conduct inventory reserve analysis and support periodic inventory reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance. Review work-in-progress (WIP), project costings, and ensure timely closure of manufacturing orders and reports. Support revenue recognition analysis (percentage-of-completion basis) and related financial reporting. Participate in regular discussions with operations and project teams on production performance, cost drivers, and forecast updates. Act as finance business partner to manufacturing teams, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and capacity planning. Provide financial and operational data to support pricing and tendering decisions when required. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journals, reconciliations, and costing-related reports. Perform any ad-hoc duties when required.
