Design, develop, and maintain automated disaster recovery workflows for enterprise applications.
Build reusable automation frameworks to support recovery orchestration across multiple platforms (cloud, on-prem, hybrid).
Integrate applications into DR tooling and ensure successful onboarding into automated recovery processes.
Continuously improve automation capabilities to reduce recovery time objectives (RTO)
Daily Health Checks & Operational Readiness
Perform daily system health checks on DR tools and automation pipelines
Monitor and validate the readiness of DR solutions, ensuring systems are always recovery-ready.
Identify and resolve issues proactively to prevent failures during DR events.
Maintain operational dashboards and reporting for DR readiness and automation performance.
Product Lifecycle Management
Manage the lifecycle of DR tools and platforms, including upgrades, patches, and decommissioning.
Collaborate with vendors for product updates, support, and roadmap alignment.
Evaluate new features and capabilities to enhance automation and resilience.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards, security policies, and audit requirements.
Application Onboarding & Workflow Development
Build and maintain automation workflows for both existing and newly onboarded applications.
Work with application owners to define recovery requirements and dependencies.
Standardize onboarding processes to ensure consistency and scalability.
Maintain documentation for workflows, configurations, and onboarding procedures.
Support for Technology Resilience Activities
Partner with Technology Resilience teams during disaster recovery testing and live recovery events.
Provide technical support during DR drills, simulations, and audits.
Assist in identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in recovery strategies.
Contribute to post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Tooling & Automation Enablement
Utilize DR automation tools to drive application recovery processes.
Develop scripts, integrations, and APIs to enhance automation capabilities.
Ensure proper configuration and optimization of tools used for DR orchestration.
Train stakeholders on automation tools and processes where required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experienced Required
Bachelors Degree or a National Diploma in IT
3 to 5 years scripting experience in Python, Bash or Shell
Must have Disaster Recovery environment experience
Must be able to present DR orchestration approach
Education
Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
