Contract Specialist

About the role

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Acquisition Division of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast. In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Negotiating prices, terms and conditions of contracts; 2) Performing cost and price analysis to determine cost/price reasonableness; 3) Performing all contractual pre-award and post-award functions; 4) Conducting post-award conferences with the contractor to clarify contractual requirements and special provisions; and 5) Interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific contracting issues.
