DASCH INC is seeking a Corporate Controller to provide senior-level finance and payroll support across DASCH INC and DASCH Foundation. Working alongside the existing Controller, this position will play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, payroll processes, internal controls, shared service reporting, and supporting the organization's Workday implementation by helping resolve current issues and improve system effectiveness.
Role & Responsibilities
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for DASCH INC and DASCH Foundation.
Partner with the Controller to review financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
Provide oversight and support for core accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, funder reporting, bank reconciliations, accruals, and deferred revenue.
Assist with the development of budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and financial reporting for senior leadership, the Finance Committee, the Board, and Foundation stakeholders.
Support year-end audit preparation, including working papers, schedules, reconciliations, and responses to auditor requests.
Serve as a finance lead for DASCH Foundation accounting, including shared service allocations, intercompany transactions, and financial reporting between DASCH INC and DASCH Foundation.
Develop strong working knowledge of payroll processes, payroll systems, Workday payroll functions, and related internal controls.
Provide guidance and support to the payroll team on payroll accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, benefit allocations, statutory deductions, and payroll-related reporting.
Identify opportunities to strengthen payroll processes, controls, documentation, and system utilization, including helping optimize the Workday implementation and resolve current system issues.
Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Payroll teams to ensure payroll data is accurate, complete, and properly reflected in the accounting records.
Support the accounting team with complex transactions, account analysis, and financial problem-solving.
Contribute to policy development and process improvements related to finance, payroll, internal controls, signing authority, purchasing, and reporting.
Help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, funder requirements, organizational policies, and audit expectations.
Provide backup support to the Controller and broader finance leadership, as required.
Support special projects, systems improvements, and financial analysis as assigned by the CFO or senior leadership.
