About the role

Executes day-to-day lab operations & support objectives at customer facilities, following a defined standard output or set of procedures, focused on minimizing laboratory workflow interruptions. Problems and issues faced are generally recurring and solutions are typically known and/or prescribed. Responsibilities

  • Supporting daily laboratory operations through effective material and stock management
  • Managing inventory and ensuring availability of chemicals and consumables
  • Handling deliveries, including temperature-sensitive materials
  • Monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, and ensuring proper stock rotation
  • Supporting safe waste management processes
  • Maintaining clean, organised lab and storage areas
  • Collaborating with lab teams to understand and respond to operational needs
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a laboratory or similar environment
  • Basic knowledge of chemical handling or inventory systems (preferred)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service mindset
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools
  • A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to work
  • A scientific degree or relevant qualifications
  • Experience working with laboratory inventory systems or stock management
