Contribute to the data science roadmap and help shape the next generation of algorithms Identify new market opportunities and residential flexibility value to shape the data science roadmap and next-gen algorithms Opportunity to guide and develop more junior colleagues through design review, code review, and structured feedback Be part of a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and other teams across Flexa's partner ecosystem Mandatory Requirements University degree in a data-driven or analytical field (Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or similar quantitative discipline) 5+ years industry experience in applied data science, with significant time spent in time-series machine learning or applied forecasting (energy domain a strong plus, not strict) Hands-on experience with large volumes of time-series data, ideally in streaming settings Strong grasp of probabilistic forecasting, calibration, and backtesting methodology Proficiency in Python and software engineering practices: testing, code quality, code review, CI/CD, monitoring, and modular code design Experience taking models beyond the notebook: from experimentation and validation through to scalable, monitored production deployment Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills Cross-functional collaboration mindset across data scientists, software engineers, and partner-company stakeholders Independent research experience, excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment are essential.
