Title
Development Generalists
The Development Generalist provides coordinated administrative and programmatic support across the Bronson Health Foundation's core fundraising functions, including events, major gifts, annual giving, and development operations (CRM/data).
This is an entry-level role designed for an early-career professional seeking broad exposure to the field of philanthropy. The position supports frontline fundraising and engagement efforts while building foundational skills in donor relations, annual giving execution, event logistics, and database management.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Events & Donor Engagement Support
Provide logistical and on-site support for fundraising, stewardship, and cultivation events.
Assist with event planning and execution, including registration, RSVP tracking, materials preparation, and post-event follow-up.
Support donor engagement activities tied to events, including coordination of guest lists, seating, and stewardship touchpoints.
Major Gifts Team Support
Provide administrative and coordination support to major gift officers and leadership.
Assist with scheduling donor meetings, preparing briefing materials, and assembling proposals or presentations.
Track and record donor interactions, contact reports, and follow-up actions in the CRM system.
Support stewardship and cultivation workflows to ensure timely and coordinated donor engagement.
Development Operations (CRM/Data) Support
Enter and maintain accurate donor records, gifts, pledges, and contact reports in the donor database.
Assist with gift processing, acknowledgments, and data quality efforts to ensure integrity and timeliness.
Support reporting, prospect tracking, and basic data analysis for fundraising activities.
Partner with the CRM/data team on audits, clean-up projects, and system-related tasks.
Annual Giving & Campaign Support
Assist with execution of annual giving efforts, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and employee giving initiatives.
Support mailing coordination, list preparation, segmentation, and basic tracking of campaign performance.
Help prepare donor acknowledgment letters, recognition lists, and stewardship communications.
Provide project coordination support for broader campaign initiatives.
Team Collaboration & Professional Growth
Work collaboratively across events, major gifts, annual giving, and operations teams to support Foundation priorities.
Develop a working knowledge of fundraising best practices, donor stewardship, and campaign strategy.
Maintain strict confidentiality of donor and organizational information.
Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, events, or customer service.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office software (training provided for specialized systems).
