We are currently looking for a Class A CDL Driver, at our Miami Gardens Healthcare Laundry facility. We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable, and timely with excellent communication skills. Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles in a safe and lawful manner, adhering to all federal, state, and local Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including Hours of Service (HOS) limits. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and equipment, documenting any defects or issues promptly. Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) or paper logs as required by DOT regulations and company policy. Load and unload linen carts and bags onto and off the truck, utilizing appropriate equipment (e.g., lift gates, pallet jacks) and following safe lifting procedures. Ensure the proper segregation of clean and soiled linen to prevent cross-contamination, adhering to strict hygiene protocols relevant to healthcare laundry. Deliver clean linen to designated areas within healthcare facilities (e.g., linen rooms, supply closets) and pick up soiled linen from collection points. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2-3 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, preferably in a delivery or route-based environment. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to operate Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and other relevant fleet technology (e.g., Samsara, GPS systems). Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and other applicable transportation laws. Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and background check.
