- Minimum 8 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails and modern JavaScript/TypeScript (React).
- Minimum 8 years of full-stack experience building, maintaining, and scaling production web applications end-to-end, with demonstrated experience owning complex features from API design through UI delivery.

If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you. _____________________________________ Who We're Looking For We are looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer I, (L3) for the Applications Team who will own and drive the technical direction of CareMessage's core SaaS application, the full-stack product that clinic staff at over 400 safety-net healthcare organizations in the United States rely on every day to manage their patients, build and run communication programs, and measure patient engagement outcomes. You will independently own complex features end-to-end across our Rails backend and React frontend, mentor L2 engineers on the team, and contribute to architectural decisions that shape how we evolve the core product. This is a highly cross-functional role with shared team lead responsibilities. You'll work closely with Product, Customer Success, Data, and Engineering to design and deliver features that meaningfully reduce the administrative burden on safety-net clinics and deepen patient engagement. You will report to the Director of Engineering and play a key role in advancing our core product capabilities as we scale.
