Department: North 1 Med Surg Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $33.17 - $39.81 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Wound/Ostomy Care LVN works collaboratively under the direction of an RN or physician to provide clinical care to patients with wounds, ostomies, and other unique healthcare needs. Uses and conducts assessments, participates in developing plans of care, and executes skilled interventions. Provides education to patients and their families, and contributes in evaluating treatment interventions as defined by the care/treatment plan. The Wound/Ostomy Care LVN performs direct patient care, administrative duties, and other tasks as assigned, while maintaining flexibility to support the department and organization. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) License required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Current national certification in wound and ostomy care management preferred. Knowledge: Minimum of 2 years recent acute care LVN or related/equivalent experience is preferred. Prior experience in wound and ostomy care preferred.
