Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years related experience delivering backend applications in a production environment. Familiarity with operating high-availability backend services and JVM services
- Working knowledge of functional programming patterns and experience contributing to RESTful services (Scala APIs)
- Familiarity with async programming models (events, callbacks, promises, async/await) and threading/concurrency
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, databases, etc.) and developing knowledge of design patterns and principles
- Exposure to a Public Cloud Provider (e.g., AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- Understanding of source control concepts and systems, CI/CD pipelines and exposure to Git
- Familiarity with build and deployment technologies such as Jenkins and Docker. Exposure to messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, SQS, etc.)
- Familiarity with observability tools for metrics, logging, and monitoring (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Grafana)
- Awareness of caching technologies
- Knowledge of AGILE/Scrum practices.
