Description of Work Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing journey level work in the areas of Heating/Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Hot Water Supply, Plumbing, and Food Service Equipment. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Performing special repairs and assignments that are received by work orders from authorized personnel. - Identifying the cause of a problem; determining materials and tools needed and method of repair; and carrying out repair procedures independently on most jobs. - Performing scheduled maintenance functions as required and outlined in the preventative maintenance plans. - Training and/or supervising the work of offender helpers.
