Key Responsibilities As Environmental Health & Safety Lead, you will: Lead the implementation of Designer Group's EHS management systems on site. Support compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, client requirements and internal standards. Promote a strong, proactive safety culture across the project. Support PSCS requirements, where applicable. Develop, manage and maintain project-specific health and safety plans, safety files and EHS documentation. Lead and attend project EHS coordination meetings. Carry out regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews. Review and support the approval of RAMS, SOPs, project execution plans and dynamic risk assessments. Monitor training compliance, including Safe Pass, CSCS and other project or country-specific requirements. Coordinate and monitor safety arrangements across site personnel, subcontractors and project stakeholders. Support incident investigations, after-action reviews and corrective action tracking. Ensure audit and inspection findings are logged, assigned and closed out through the relevant digital platform. Prepare EHS reports and support KPI reporting. Work closely with project teams, management, subcontractors and client representatives. Support health, wellbeing and wider EHS initiatives across the project. Represent Designer Group professionally during audits, inspections and client engagements. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support practical safety solutions on site. Ensure project EHS training needs are identified and supported in line with project requirements. Collaborate with the wider EHS function to maintain consistent standards across Designer Group projects. We are looking for an experienced EHS professional with strong construction safety experience and the ability to influence safe behaviours on site. You should have: 6+ years' experience in a similar EHS, HSE, Health & Safety or Safety Lead role. Previous experience within the construction industry. Experience working in site-based, project delivery environments. A recognised third-level qualification in Environmental Health & Safety or a related discipline. Relevant EHS accreditations or certifications, such as IOSH or equivalent. Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and regulatory requirements. Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Experience carrying out site audits, inspections and risk reviews. Experience reviewing RAMS, method statements, SOPs, project execution plans and risk assessments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Experience using digital construction or EHS platforms such as Procore, EIDA, Kianda or similar. The ability to work onsite in Dresden, Germany on a full-time project basis. Fluent English language skills. A full clean driving licence.
