Join our team and create your future. An Azure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. While software developers focus on building applications, Azure engineers build and maintain the secure, scalable "digital world" that powers them. Core Responsibilities - Infrastructure Management: Provision and configure virtual machines (VMs), storage, and networking components. - Automation (IaC): Use Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates to automate deployments. - Security & Compliance: Implement identity management (Microsoft Entra ID), firewalls, and encryption to protect data. - Monitoring & Optimization: Use Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track performance and optimize cloud costs. - CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline application code releases using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. - Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain backup and failover strategies to ensure 99.99% system availability. Technical Skills Required - Scripting: Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python for task automation. - Networking: Deep understanding of VNETs, Subnets, NSGs, VPNs, and ExpressRoute. - Containerization: Experience deploying and managing Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker containers. - Cloud Services: Hands-on experience with IaaS (VMs, Networking) and PaaS (App Services, SQL, Functions). The estimated base salary for this job is $100,000 - $135,000 USD. The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron's annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron's pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $112,000 - $159,300 USD. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs.
