Key responsibilities include:
Facilitate safe and appropriate completion of a prescribed exercise program, in a group and individual setting, as outlined by the treating physiotherapist.
Ensure the safe and timely transport of patients to their therapy session in the gym.
Escalate patient concerns to treating physiotherapist/rehab team leader.
Ensure good communication, effective relationships and teamwork between peers and other clinical staff and services.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organised, flexible and work well within a team.
You will have:
Relevant Allied Health Assistant qualifications.
Experience in exercise delivery & managing groups of patients in a rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team within a structured rehabilitation or acute orthopaedic environment.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a strong client customer service focus.
Well-developed time management skills.
