About the role
The Bilingual Japanese Programmatic Support Trader is an entry-level operations role that supports the Trading team in setting up, monitoring, and reporting on digital advertising campaigns. This role focuses on following clear processes, working accurately with data, and using available resources and documentation, rather than on prior industry experience. The Support Trader role is designed as a foundational entry point into programmatic trading and digital media operations. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, following structured processes, and learning new tools, and who takes pride in getting the details right to support strong campaign performance.
Responsibilities
- We're MiQ, a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be too. No matter the role or the location, we're all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.
- Prepare and deliver weekly or fortnightly campaign performance reports, ensuring data accuracy and actionable insights.
- Monitor live campaign performance against established benchmarks, identifying trends and flagging potential issues.
- Support mid-flight campaign optimization by analyzing data and recommending adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Generate tracking pixels for campaign measurement and ensure accurate implementation.
- Troubleshoot pixel implementation issues prior to campaign activation, collaborating with relevant teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Collaborate with Trading, Ad Operations, and Account Services teams to streamline reporting processes and facilitate effective campaign execution.
- Ensure all deliverables meet MiQ's quality standards and rework outputs as required to address feedback or discrepancies.
Requirements
- JLPT Certification of at least N3, N2, and N1 levels
- Good grasp of the English language
- No prior experience in digital advertising, programmatic trading, or DSPs is required. Full training on tools and processes will be provided.
- Strong analytical skills and numerical comfort; able to work confidently with data in spreadsheets (filters, sorting, basic formulas, and pivots can be learned on the job).
- High attention to detail and accuracy; able to spot inconsistencies, missing fields, or numbers that do not add up before submitting work.
- Demonstrated learning mindset: comfortable asking questions, reading documentation, and using internal resources to solve problems rather than waiting for answers.
- Process-driven and organized: able to follow step-by-step SOPs, checklists, and templates, and keep track of multiple small tasks without losing items.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting approach: can logically narrow down potential causes when something looks wrong in data, pacing, or setup.
- Effective written and verbal communication in English; can summarize issues clearly and concisely and escalate with the right context.
- Ability to work collaboratively with remote stakeholders across time zones and respond within agreed SLAs.
- Comfortable with repetitive operational tasks, while still looking for small ways to improve efficiency and reduce errors over time.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in any field is welcome; open to fresh graduates and career shifters.
- We've highlighted some key skills, experience and requirements for this role. But please don't worry if you don't meet every single one. Our talent team strives to find the best people. They might see something in your background that's a fit for this role, or another opportunity at MiQ.
