Demonstrated experience leading a legal team of meaningful size : Hiring, developing, and leading a team, with a clear preference for leadership over individual contribution.
A track record of making and owning risk-based decisions in a commercial environment, and translating legal complexity into clear, actionable guidance for non-lawyers.
Solid grounding in corporate law , with hands-on exposure to M&A, financing rounds, or significant commercial transactions.
Meaningful experience in a technology company or similarly complex, fast-moving environment, including familiarity with the legal landscape for digital products (IP, privacy, consumer protection, product counselling).
A pragmatic, hands-on interest in AI and legal technology , and a track record (or clear ambition) of using these tools to make legal work faster, sharper, and more scalable.
Comfort operating at the pace, pragmatism, and trade-offs that come with sitting inside a business rather than advising from the outside.

This role reports to the Co-CEO and sits at the leadership table. It is, above all, a commercial leadership role with a legal foundation . We are not looking for a technical legal expert who advises from the sidelines. The decisions you will be part of on markets, products, partnerships, and risk will shape AMBOSS's success and how it continues to grow. We are looking for a senior operator who runs a function, partners deeply with the business, and helps AMBOSS make sharper, faster, better-informed decisions in a complex regulatory environment.
