PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES :
Maintains current enrollment in an accredited school of professional nursing (RN) or recent graduate (within 120 days) of accredited school of professional nursing (RN). Must provide proof of enrollment each semester or program completion.
Performs indirect and direct patient care in a competent manner, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and within the scope of the Memorial Hermann Professional Student Nurse (PSN) Skills Inventory.
Performs tasks as assigned by the RN and in accordance with the professional student nurse's training and capabilities.
Collaborates with all members of the inter-professional health care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data in a comprehensive manner.
Ensures safe care to patients adhering to policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, productivity, and accuracy of practice.
Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization.

Job Summary
