About the role
The College of Arts and Sciences is accepting applications for a Finance/Budget Manager to support the Department of C hemistry . As a Finance/Budget Manager, you will serve as the principal fiscal advisor and budget authority, providing comprehensive financial and administrative support. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the administrative and financial operations including fiscal analysis, financial accountability, budgeting and resource allocation. As the Finance/Budget Manager you will also supervise and direct the work of fiscal support staff, ensuring efficient operations. Additionally, you will be accountable for the allocation and management of resources and achievement of programmatic and financial objectives. In collaboration with the department and/or school leadership, you will participate in planning efforts and implement departmental and university policies and procedures to support institutional goals. The assigned areas may be adjusted at the discretion of the College of Arts & Sciences, to meet changing goals and needs of the college and university. Overtime eligibility will be determined based on final salary placement. This position is an on-site/in-person role located on the WSU campus in Pullman, WA. Monthly Salary: $5,598.00 to $6,912.00 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 , the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field, and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Proficiency with spreadsheet, database, word processing, e-mail, and calendaring software. Experience with budget, personnel, and management of financial resources.
