You will join the MCUXpresso SDK team, responsible for delivering high‑quality, production‑ready software development kits for NXP microcontrollers. The team develops, tests, and maintains low‑level drivers, middleware, examples, and tools used by thousands of developers worldwide. Quality, robustness, and reproducibility are critical - and this is where embedded software testing plays a key role. We work closely with development, hardware, validation, and applications teams to ensure the SDK behaves correctly across silicon revisions, boards, and real‑world customer use cases. 🔍 Responsibilities - What We Do Design, implement, and maintain test plans and test cases for embedded software in the MCUXpresso SDK. Perform functional, regression, and integration testing of low‑level drivers, middleware, and example applications. Execute tests on real hardware as well as in simulated or pre‑silicon environments, where applicable. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to debug and resolve defects. Contribute to improving test coverage, test automation, and test infrastructure. Validate software behavior across different MCU variants, boards, and configurations. Ensure delivered software meets quality, reliability, and maintainability expectations. Document test results clearly and communicate findings across teams. 💻 Technical Knowledge - What You Bring To thrive in this role, you should bring: Practical experience with embedded systems testing or embedded software development in C. Understanding of microcontroller architecture fundamentals. HW analog/digital circuitry essentials. Hardware‑dependent testing (GPIO, timers, DMA, communication peripherals). Automated testing frameworks or scripting (e.g. Python). Strong analytical skills and the ability to debug issues close to hardware. Experience working with test cases, test execution, and defect tracking. Familiarity with standard software development and testing workflows. Working knowledge of GIT or similar version control systems. Ability to communicate effectively in English, written and spoken. It's a plus if you also have experience with: Development using NXP products MCUXpresso SDK, BSPs, or low‑level drivers. Realtime operating systems in embedded environments.
