Collaborate with team to proactively assess ways to reduce downtime on the manufacturing line and ensure 24/day operation Other duties as assigned The Candidate: High School Diploma, GED/CAEC and/or educational credential assessment (ECA) is required Completion of Tradesman and Qualification Act requirements Licensed by Ministry of Skills and Development - Required. Licensed Industrial Electrician certification required. (309A, 442A) Experience in the following; Shop tools, lathe, mills, grinders, drill presses, precision measurement instruments, power tools, technical manuals/schematics/blueprints, controllers, PLC & HMI, PID, calibration, and engineering drawings Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures; Knowledge of First Aid and CPR an asset Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written); ability to work independently, as required to complete daily activities according to schedule Strong problem solving and analytical skills; attention to detail coupled with a sense of urgency Basic computer skills to allow for electronic maintenance task documentation. While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. Use of manual dexterity is required. The employee is often required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, bend or twist, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time and occasionally bend and lift. This role is required is to be clean shaven to wear a respirator, which is deemed mandatory to meet Health & Safety requirements.
