About the role
This position primarily manages and coordinates tasks with the Capitol Group under the Utility Coordination team of the CLTW Engineering Division. The position will assist in tasks related to the relocation of public wastewater and water infrastructure on ROW improvements projects. This position is responsible for routine tasks of short duration with engineering oversight and reports to the Engineering Program Manager. The salary for this position is $84,905.10 thru $94,338.99 commensurate with experience ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Coordinates and manages specific tasks related to assigned component(s) at various stages of a project (programming, design, bids, and contract awards, or construction); works closely with others on projects and related programs to ensure tasks fit into overall project; ensures timely and quality completion; and monitors progress. Performs engineering analysis and plan review of public infrastructure projects that may impact Charlotte Water Infrastructure. Coordination and implementation of test shutdowns. Utilization of ArcGIS analysis for analyzing existing infrastructure and evaluating survey data. Assists with the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), developing individual CIP project descriptions and cost estimates, and assisting with CIP budget coordination. Assists with data compilation and regulatory reporting functions. Oversees contracted third-party service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery of services; inspects completed work to ensure compliance with contracts; works to resolve problems; and monitors and ensures compliance. Assists in data verification and field inspections and tests. Communicate with internal and external clients. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field from an accredited school. One (1) year of utility design and construction experience demonstrating responsibility for the coordination of tasks in civil engineering or municipal capital improvement projects. Licenses, Certifications or Registrations: Requires valid driver's license.
