Compound Blending Operator manages the overall production of raw materials for blending and mixing. Duties and Responsibilities *Responsible for monitoring and running the proper recipes i.e. proper amount of ingredients, heating and cooling time, heating and cooling temperatures, etc. *Responsible for monitoring the compound computer system - ensuring proper weights, heats, pressure, etc. are met and maintained *Responsible for physically inspecting, repairing and/or reporting needed repairs of filters, material lines/hoses, etc. *Must monitor and maintain railcar unloading system - properly securing hoses, properly venting railcars, capping off unused hoses, keeping railcar area clean and communicating with railroad yard *responsible for filing correct and accurate paperwork - batch reports, resin/silo reports, tote reports, railcar reports, etc. *Must communicate with production supervisor any silo or material changes which may affect the compound *Must wear the respirator properly when loading mic units - material must be loaded through the closed grate at all times *Each operator will be responsible for their assigned housekeeping duties Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or GED certificate Prior experience with chemical production processes or in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred) Ability to operate a forklift Basic Math, reading and computer skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
