  • Financial management, including tracking margin, forecasting resources, and reporting across multiple large-scale projects.
  • Develop priority plans including risk mitigation strategies and performance tracking through KPIs and internal systems.
  • Implement and maintain Business Management Systems and delivery methodologies to ensure consistent best practice.
  • Support internal and external audit processes where required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the construction market, particularly in rapidly expanding sectors such as data centers and critical infrastructure, and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Advise on contracting and procurement strategies to optimize outcomes across large-scale capital programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in leadership meetings and deliver presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates on project status, staffing, and initiatives, proposing solutions and gaining alignment with leadership teams.
  • Identify and act upon business development and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Support proposal development and responses for new project opportunities.
  • Ensure knowledge capture and continuous improvement across all commissions.
  • Attend relevant industry and networking events.
  • Promote a collaborative culture that delivers strong outcomes for people, clients, and stakeholders.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree in a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
  • Experience supporting large-scale, complex construction projects (data centers or mission-critical preferred).
  • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
  • SME in Quantity Surveying, with RICS certification or equivalent accreditation.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and organizational communication skills.

Turner & Townsend are looking for an experienced Associate Director Cost Manager and/or Quantity Surveyor to lead cost management services for a key hyperscale client. This individual will ensure the successful management of both internal and external stakeholders and the delivery of cost management services on a large-scale, mission-critical data center construction program. This role supports major data center developments in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) region, contributing to a growing portfolio of complex campus projects. The role can be performed remotely, with a preference for candidates based in the DFW area, and will require travel to project sites and/or the Turner & Townsend office. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong communication skills and confidence in a client-facing environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. In this position, you will provide leadership and direction while promoting the purpose, values, and vision of Turner & Townsend.
