Job Summary:
An Operations Officer III performs professional work in planning, coordinating, or directing administrative, programmatic, or technical operations for an agency. Incumbents receive managerial supervision from an administrative superior. The position supervises sworn, professional, or technical personnel and may supervise clerical or paraprofessional staff. Work is performed in a standard office environment with minimal physical exertion, though some positions may require evening, weekend, or emergency callback hours.
Essential Functions:
Plans and coordinate administrative activities such as budgeting, fiscal control, purchasing, HR administration, legislative analysis, economic development, public policy, community relations, and organizational analysis.
Reviews, interprets, and recommends departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with laws and regulations.
Develops long‑ and short‑term goals for departmental or program objectives.
Recommends and implements policies, procedures, and staffing structures.
Monitors program activities for compliance with regulations.
