Responsibilities

  • Data Protection Compliance
  • Monitor and maintain statutory registrations and filings across countries in the Americas

  • AI Governance & Compliance
  • Support implementation and maintenance of internal AI governance frameworks, policies, and standards
  • Assist in monitoring evolving AI regulations (e.g., AI Act and local frameworks)
  • Advise on responsible, lawful, and ethical use of AI aligned with internal policies
  • Documentation & Tools
  • Maintain privacy documentation and compliance records using tools such as OneTrust
  • Support reporting, tracking, and governance activities
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with: Global Privacy, Product & AI Legal team
  • Americas Legal leadership
  • Business stakeholders across the region
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide translations when required (primarily Spanish, Portuguese, English)
  • Support regional and global privacy initiatives
  • Scope & Impact
  • Covers the entire Americas region (multi-country, multi-regulation environment)
  • Heavy involvement in contract review, compliance documentation, and operational privacy execution
  • Exposure to both data protection and emerging AI governance topics
  • IAPP Certification (CIPP, CIPM, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in privacy, compliance, governance, or regulatory roles
  • Strong experience reviewing and negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
  • Experience in contract review and legal documentation
  • Solid understanding of personal data and data protection principles
  • Fluency in: English
  • Spanish
  • Portuguese nice to have
  • Preferred
  • Experience with privacy tools (e.g., OneTrust)
  • Exposure to data breach response processes
  • Familiarity with DPIAs
  • Basic knowledge of AI concepts and AI governance
  • Experience in multinational or regional environments
  • Additional language (e.g., French) is a plus

Working closely with the Global Privacy, Product & AI Legal team, this role plays a key part in monitoring compliance, raising awareness across the organization, supporting contract reviews, and advancing responsible AI practices. The position serves as a strategic partner and right hand to the Americas Privacy Leader, with strong opportunity for growth and ownership.
