Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the organization's AI Governance Framework, policies, standards, and control processes.

- Define and promote standards for human oversight, transparency, explainability, and ethical AI practices across the organization.
- Manage AI-related third-party and vendor governance activities, including due diligence, risk assessments, and contractual compliance requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison for AI governance matters with internal stakeholders, auditors, regulators, and supervisory authorities.
- Deliver AI governance reporting, metrics, and risk insights to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Drive AI awareness and literacy initiatives to strengthen responsible AI adoption across the organization.
- Monitor regulatory developments, industry standards, and emerging best practices, ensuring the continuous evolution of the AI governance framework.
- Key Requirements
- Experience in AI Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Technology Governance, Data Governance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the EU AI Act, GDPR, and broader technology and data governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of AI, machine learning, and generative AI concepts, including associated risks and control mechanisms.
- Experience developing governance frameworks, policies, controls, and compliance programs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical, legal, compliance, risk, and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory engagements, or compliance assessments is highly desirable.

The AI Governance Officer is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving the organization's AI governance framework, ensuring that AI systems are developed, deployed, and operated in a compliant, ethical, secure, and transparent manner. This role serves as the central point of coordination for AI governance activities and supports the organization's adherence to the EU AI Act, GDPR, and other relevant regulatory and industry requirements. The role oversees the implementation of AI governance policies, controls, and processes across the AI lifecycle, including the inventory and classification of AI systems, risk assessments, data governance, documentation, monitoring, and incident management. The AI Governance Officer works closely with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Data, Security, and Business teams to ensure AI solutions meet regulatory expectations while supporting innovation and business objectives.
