Department: North 1 Med Surg Shift: Primarily Days (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular - Per Diem Per Diem Type (if applicable): RN Per Diem 2 Minimum Pay Range: $70.00 - $86.07 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Wound Care RN works with nursing staff and physicians to provide clinical care of patients with wounds, ostomies, continence and other special skin care needs. Uses general nursing knowledge of physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and health assessment to assist in the intervention of wound, ostomy and continence care problems. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: Current California Registered Nursing (RN) License required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required National Certification in wound care preferred, i.e. (WCC) Wound Care Certification, (WTA) Wound Treatment Associate or equivalent. Knowledge: Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care clinical experience as a Registered Nurse required. Prior experience in wound, ostomy and continence care preferred.
