We are looking for a Front End Equipment Engineer to support and sustain manufacturing equipment performance within the front-end wafer fabrication area. This role is responsible for ensuring high equipment uptime, reliability, and process stability to meet production targets and quality standards.
The ideal candidate will work closely with production, process engineering, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Monitor and improve equipment performance, uptime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Perform equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis to minimize downtime.
Lead and support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
Support new equipment installation, qualification, and buy-off activities.
Work closely with process engineers to ensure equipment meets process requirements and specifications.
Analyze equipment data trends and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Support cost reduction initiatives related to spare parts, consumables, and maintenance optimization.
Prepare and present technical reports on equipment performance and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field.
1-3 years of experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environment (fresh graduates with strong technical background may be considered).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of front-end semiconductor equipment is an added advantage (e.g., lithography, etch, diffusion, thin film, CMP).
Familiar with SPC, FMEA, 8D, or other structured problem-solving methodologies.
Good understanding of equipment automation and basic PLC systems is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
