About Anterior
Anterior is on a mission to transform healthcare administration, making it seamless and invisible so clinicians can focus on delivering care. We've built an AI-powered platform designed by clinicians, for clinicians, to simplify administrative workflows and improve patient outcomes. By combining clinical expertise with cutting-edge technology, we're revolutionizing healthcare operations with responsible AI.
We're growing rapidly and are backed by world-class investors including Sequoia, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), and Neo along with notable angels including the founders of DeepMind, Google AI, and Inflection AI.
Anterior is improving the experience of healthcare for everyone. We're working on the cutting edge of using technology to make clinical decision-making frictionless.
We're building exciting tech for huge customers and we trust in the foundations: keep it simple, build strong foundations, and the rest will follow.
The Team
At Anterior, engineers share a strong "sense of product" and solve meaningful problems that simplify healthcare workflows. We collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable, and user-focused solutions guided by best practices and modular design.
We value diverse experiences and skill sets, continually expanding our team to tackle modern healthcare's challenges with creativity and precision.
About You
You have a passion for doing things The Right Way, you believe Less is More, you want to focus on the foundations of system design and architecture (pacelc, consistency guarantees), you care as much about the code you do not write, you're tired of the hype treadmill and care about the fundamentals. You have battle scars from over-engineered and underperforming slop, and you care about writing code that lasts.
Your depth is on the backend and/or infrastructure. You may be the person building APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and distributed systems - or you may be the person scaling and hardening the cloud infrastructure underneath them. Either way, you've owned system design decisions, shipped them to production, and operated them at scale. You've been the person other engineers come to when something is broken or when a design needs a second opinion. You've led projects, mentored junior engineers, and made architectural decisions that stuck. You may be coming from a scale-up, a big tech platform team, an engineering finance shop, or anywhere with a serious AWS footprint - what matters is that you've seen real complexity and you want more ownership over what you build.
Come share your proudest firefighting story with us in an interview, bring your GitHub, and let's see if we're a good fit.
