Job Responsibilities
Guest Service & Experience
Deliver warm and courteous service while ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for all guest
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests, enquires and feedback
Provide knowledgeable beverage recommendations based on guest preferences, menu offerings and occasions
Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally
Beverage Preparation & Product Knowledge
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently in accordance with approved recipes, portion sizes, glassware, and presentation standards.
Maintain strong knowledge of beverages offered, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and daily specials.
Ensure consistency in drink quality, taste, presentation, and service timing at all times.
Bar Operations & Controls
Set up and maintain bar workstations to ensure readiness for service in line with operational standards.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene of bar areas, equipment, and storage spaces in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
Accurately input orders and process transactions using the designated POS system
Complete opening, closing, and assigned side duties, ensuring all responsibilities are fulfilled
Monitor stock levels, replenish par stocks, and raise requisitions for supplies as required.
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth service flow and operational alignment.
Attend daily briefings, departmental meetings, and training sessions to stay updated on outlet operations and service standards.
Support colleagues during peak periods, contributing to a cooperative, professional, and productive team environment.
Compliance, Training & Professional Standards
Comply with all Marina Bay Sands and departmental policies, including service procedures, grooming standards, safety, and workplace conduct.
Ensure proper use and care of all bar equipment; report maintenance or safety issues to the Manager on Duty promptly.
Participate actively in training and certification programs, applying learnings consistently on the job.
Observe and share guest preferences and feedback with management to support continuous service improvement.
Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Relevant professional certifications (e.g. WSQ, WSET or equivalent) are an advantage.
