Instrument maker or model maker who performed design or development work on devices fabricated. OR Certification: Engineering technicians may be certified by the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, an organization sponsored by the National Society of professional Engineers. Certification by the Institute will be helpful as a measure of the technician's quality of experience. In addition to Basic Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS GS-11: I have 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Examples include: Enforce and promote pollution prevention and efficient and safe operations in drilling workover; inspect oil/gas drilling and production operations and facilities; conduct pre-drilling well site resources inventories, inspects well sites, witness or conduct oil and as well production and formation tests; independently conduct on-site inspections of the processes, equipment, and practices involved; report deficiencies to operators and assure corrective action; investigate serious accidents and disastrous events to identify the cause and measure in order to prevent re-occurrences; prepare and process permits, reports, and control logs dealing with Leasing/Mining activities and monitoring.
