Establish strategic priorities, objectives, and KPIs aligned to corporate goals
Strengthen capabilities in scientific exchange, KOL engagement, insight capture, meeting facilitation, and peer-level clinical discussion
Ensure consistent field standards and best practices
National Thought-Leader Strategy & Cross-Functional Alignment
Design and implement Corcept's national thought-leader engagement strategy across multiple specialties
Partner closely with KAMs, CSs, MSLs, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Field Medical to ensure alignment of field activities
Integrate TLL insights into broader internal planning and cross-functional strategy development
Scientific Exchange & Product Education
Ensure TLLs conduct scientifically meaningful, evidence-based discussions with thought leaders
Oversee readiness for discussions covering disease-state fundamentals, cortisol biology, clinical trends, and the mechanism and FDA-approved use of Korlym
Ensure TLLs appropriately triage advanced inquiries to internal experts as needed
Speaker & Advisor Strategy
Lead national strategy for identification, evaluation, and development of external speakers and advisors
Oversee TLL nomination of potential speakers and ensure nominations reflect scientific expertise and strategic value
Partner with Marketing and Medical Affairs on scientific content, speaker development, and training initiatives
Thought Leadership Initiatives & Scientific Events
Direct planning and execution of advisory boards, scientific roundtables, symposia, and webinars
Oversee TLL presence and coordinated engagement at national and regional congresses
Develop frameworks for engaging emerging and established thought leaders
Insights Generation & Strategic Recommendations
Ensure timely, accurate insight capture using approved systems (e.g., SteepRock OLMS)
Aggregate themes and deliver actionable recommendations for internal stakeholders
Identify emerging opportunities and unmet needs in screening, diagnosis, and clinical practice
Operational Excellence & Compliance
Maintain consistent reporting, planning processes, CRM documentation, and field activity standards
Manage departmental budget, talent acquisition, onboarding, and ongoing professional development
Ensure alignment with internal policies and external regulatory guidance
Preferred Skills, Qualifications and Technical Proficiencies:
Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional environments with Marketing, Medical Affairs, and Market Access
Expertise in speaker bureau development, advisory boards, or scientific education initiatives
Strong insight-generation and strategic thinking capabilities
Ability to travel 50-60%
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree; advanced scientific or healthcare degree strongly preferred
10-15+ years of experience in pharmaceuticals or biotech, with 5+ years leading field-based scientific or thought-leader engagement teams
Strong experience in endocrinology, cardiometabolic disease, or related specialties
Experience in rare disease or specialty care
The pay range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position is $191,100 - $253,000; the pay ultimately offered may vary based on legitimate considerations, including geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education.

The Director, Thought Leader Liaisons is responsible for national leadership, strategic planning, and execution excellence for Corcept's TLL organization. This team engages thought leaders across endocrinology, diabetology, cardiology, nephrology, radiology, endocrine surgery, and other specialties to advance disease-state awareness, scientific education, and clinical insight generation.
The Director partners extensively with Key Account Managers (KAMs), Clinical Specialists (CSs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Marketing, Field Medical, and Medical Affairs to ensure coordinated execution, consistent scientific engagement, and strong alignment with organizational priorities.
