About the role
The Facility Systems Engineer will serve in the Subsonic, Transonic, Supersonic, or Hypersonic Testing Branch providing engineering leadership to sustain/enhance the operational capability of the branches facilities and systems. The specific qualifications and minimum education requirements are further described below and within the education section of the job announcement. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Leading a project or team in facility design or implementation in at least two of the following areas: operations, sustainment, repair, or improvement projects; Collaborating with internal and external partners to achieve solutions to technical issues spanning multiple engineering disciplines; such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic; and Identifying system and subsystem problems applying troubleshooting, testing, or readiness methodologies.
