ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and direct security operations for events, conventions, meetings, and special activities. Develop and implement event security plans in coordination with clients, Event Management, contractors, and public safety partners. Oversee crowd management, ingress/egress operations, emergency response activities, and contract security performance. Maintain a visible leadership presence during events and provide guidance to supervisors, officers, and contract personnel. Create, maintain, and adjust staffing schedules and deployments to meet operational needs. Serve as Security Manager On Duty (MOD) when required. Train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and security personnel, including oversight of the Field Training Officer (FTO) Program. Ensure compliance with Guard Card, CPR/AED, and other required certifications and training programs. Complete employee evaluations and assist with performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes. Review incident reports, logs, and operational documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Draft and distribute directives, BOLOs, operational communications, and training materials. Conduct audits and inspections of equipment, radios, keys, AEDs, call boxes, CCTV systems, inventories, and departmental records. Maintain employee files, training records, certification logs, inventory records, contractor logs, theft logs, and other departmental tracking systems. Conduct special investigations, CCTV reviews, incident follow-ups, and evidence collection as assigned. Coordinate with internal departments, campus partners, contractors, and government agencies to support safe and successful operations. Assist with the development and implementation of departmental policies, procedures, emergency plans, and operational improvements. Prepare event recaps, after-action reports, and other operational summaries as required. Perform other duties as assigned by management. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid CA/BSIS Guard Card. Must be able to oversee workflow and take proactive action to ensure the Security Department's performance goals.
