STARTING SALARY: $13.10 - $20.96/Hour STATUS: Part Time (non-benefitted, less than 29 hours/week) DEPARTMENT: Administrative Services MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : At least two years of high school completed preferred . One year of experience in custodial or related duties preferred ; experience using automated equipment preferred. A valid Utah driver's license is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, City safety policies and procedures, including adherence to Safety Data Sheet (SDS) guidelines and established bloodborne pathogen protocols. Responsibility for assisting the Lead Custodian in keeping City facilities clean; safety of City employees and visiting public as related to the performance of duties. Responsible for inspecting and clearing vacuum hoses and attachments to remove any blockages and maintain equipment efficiency. Inspect all equipment power cords prior to use, and promptly notify a supervisor of any damage to equipment or cords to ensure safe operation. Communicate effectively verbally; Understand and follow instructions, safety procedures, and communicate with staff and the public. May require the operation of commercial cleaning equipment, including an automatic carpet extractor, wet/dry mop systems, and floor sweepers. Must be able to properly dilute cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer label instructions to ensure optimal product performance and minimize waste. Must work well independently and as part of a team, assisting coworkers and the public. Able to identify and resolve issues with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail preferred. Must follow instructions and complete daily tasks as assigned. Note: Applications may only be submitted online.
